Reusable China and Egypt source games with safe sign-in recovery
David can duplicate protected China and Egypt templates for a new school year, and an expired teacher session returns to sign-in instead of crashing the classroom desk after Appwrite resumes.
Why it matters
- - Provides a reusable China template from Zhongguo 2025 and an Egypt template from Tut 2026.
- - Prevents deleting either source template, adding or importing students, public student joining, and role assignment on the source.
- - Turns a duplicate into a normal open, editable class that accepts students and can later be deleted.
- - Preserves exact source wording, variants, page/cell provenance, role packages, and Egypt's 36 hieroglyphic name marks.
- - Recovers an expired or rejected teacher session as signed out instead of showing The desk hit a snag.
Verification
- - Each PDF extraction passed five independent source, text, reconciliation, reverse-mapping, and referential/safety verification passes.
- - Independent Poppler comparison matched every one of Egypt's 2,334 bordered grid cells and all 38 large name-card pages with zero text mismatches.
- - Repository verification checks reviewed dataset hashes, exact counts, Appwrite limits, role references, zero student state, and every Egypt visual-asset hash.
- - Focused unit coverage verifies protected deletion and joining, editable normal copies, and rejected-session recovery without cookie mutation.
- - Typecheck, lint, build, exact PR-head CI, production deployment, authenticated template readback, and classroom rehearsal remain delivery gates.
Source: Linear PI-236
- Maps 473 China templates across 2,611 nonblank bordered cells and 683 Egypt templates across 2,309 nonblank grid cells plus 38 large name-card pages.
- Keeps 46 China roles with 225 exact package associations and 27 Egypt roles with 196 exact package associations.
- Publishes deterministic, field-limit-checked seed data through a dry-run-first, fail-closed Appwrite importer.
- Stores template protection in canonical game settings and clears it only on the newly duplicated game.
- Keeps cookie writes in sign-in and sign-out actions; read-only page rendering no longer attempts a forbidden cookie mutation.
